ILLUSTRATIVE TECHNICAL REPORT

FOREWORD Via Roma comes alive daily with the popular and social spirit of Apricena. It has always channeled that flow of noisy fervor moving up and down, from side to side. It is passage. It’s square. At the beginning it was Strada dei Cappucini, an external road that connected “the town” with the Capuchin Convent, located in the current Villa Comunale. The first stretch of Via San Marco (the current Via Roma), a continuation of Via Mariani (today Corso Generale Torelli), was designed in 1886, for a length of about 180.00 meters (at the height of the current Via Puglie) . It was later called Via Cesare Battisti, to become during the Mussolinian period, Via Roma. The path of Via Roma connects the Castle, “old directional pole”, symbol of the Federician royal power, with the Andrea Costa square overlooking the municipal villa, an ex-vegetable garden donated to public utility in 1920. The two nuclei today assume meanings of civil centrality and are confirmed as such for the range of passersby. The purpose of the intervention is to improve the spatial qualities of Via Roma, enhancing the urban space and enhancing its recognisability through the use of Apricena stone.

THE PROJECT

The design idea is to transform the current Via Roma, in “Corso Roma”, into a continuous square, a “rambla”, which is the natural continuation of the Piazzale Andrea Costa and the Villa Comunale. The reorganization of the course will take place through the use of Apricena stone and the creation of greenery, the design of which will give the course dynamism. The project provides for the elimination of the difference in altitude “road-sidewalk”, in favor of the construction of ” a continuous square in Apricena stone ”, about 350 meters long, which connects Piazza Andrea Costa with the ancient core of the city. The existing sidewalks, built about ten years ago, in good condition, will be recovered. The design of the pavement of the continuous square took into account the shades and types of stone on the sidewalks. In the design idea, local stone becomes the generating element of the architectural composition. The design of the Apricena stone flooring “participates” in the creation of the elements of the project:

– the flooring “rises” to become seated;

– the stone elements to run define the green.

Corso Roma will become the open-air exhibition gallery of the Apricena stones. As shown in the tables, the use of multiple types and various formats processed in a different way is envisaged, but with the univocal goal of giving the course a strong identity and a clear visual perception. The design idea involves the transformation of Via Roma into “Corso Roma”, completely at the service of pedestrians. “Corso Roma” will become a living room, where you can walk, shop, have a drink, where you can rest in the shade of the plants. Free Wi-Fi connection is provided for the visitors and all the activities present. The course will also be equipped with a video surveillance system. Once not very remote, Via Roma was characterized by the presence of works of art in Apricena stone, made by sculptors of international level, which were later located in other areas of the city. A real shame, since excluding the sidewalks in Pietra di Apricena and some inserts on the facades of the buildings, the presence of the stone is really irrelevant. This is why the project envisages the location of “new artistic works” in Apricena stone, which in addition to characterizing the course aesthetically, will ensure environmental sustainability, since they will be integrated by photovoltaic cells.

The stone sculptures will be located close to the “squares” (the former crossings) and with the integration of photovoltaic modules they will guarantee operation: < / p>

– of the LED lighting system;

– of the video surveillance system;

– of the wi-fi;

– of the advertising signs of the activities present.

Corso Roma will be equipped with a white sewer, to collect and dispose of rainwater. The manhole covers will all be in Apricena stone.

MOBILITY

The project involves the introduction of the exclusive pedestrian traffic of Via Roma. In order to avoid vehicular crossing of the new course, video cameras will be installed at the intersections. The parking of the vehicles of the managers of the activities present and of the visitors will be guaranteed in the “fringes”. The pedestrianization of Via Roma will lead to the foreclosure of vehicular traffic crossings. In any case, the direct connection of the city from north to south (V.le Aldo Moro-Via G.di Vittorio) through Via Vittorio Veneto will be guaranteed, putting in place all systems to slow down traffic so as not to create discomfort to the residents It will also guarantee “a comfortable” roadway, necessary for the circulation of the emergency vehicles of the various suppliers.

SUSTAINABILITY

General description of the system The photovoltaic system will be arranged on five independent structures, each of which will house a total of 6 photovoltaic modules. Therefore, the installation of 30 high efficiency polycrystalline photovoltaic modules (300 Wp) is envisaged, which allow to achieve a total installed power of 9 kWp. The proposed system is grid-connected and the type of connection is three-phase in low voltage. Producibility of the plant. The annual energy produced is equal to 11 921.76 kWh. Thanks to the energy produced by the proposed photovoltaic system, it will be possible to satisfy the annual energy absorption, deriving from the public lighting of the course (street lamps and led strips of the sessions) and from the video surveillance system, estimated overall around 10 000 kWh per year The plant payback is estimated at around 9 years. environmental sustainability.
